Sea, Limbus, Byakko, MERITS!, more limbus!

I forgot what we did in sea, I slept till 10, and ran around for an hour fighting no NMs. Awesome.

Got 3 coins and that's about it in Limbus (3 Kings version)

Didn't have enough tanks for Kirin, so we killed Byakko and nabbed some more farming items including a Ulli. I'm officially #2 on the list for Haidates now ; ; soon I will have my precious! Grats Nomar on N. Hands and Jediknight on Haidates.

Exped like crazy today, Getting Merit #74. I actually did 3 parties today. One as pld/nin DDing in sky with my LS and a pickup whm (lolz, I actually didn't do too bad) to get my buffer to the highest it's ever been by far (beating old record by 12k) at 36,707 total exp. Wow :O lol. Second party was also mostly LS, but I went on my NIN. 3rd party I borrowed a lot of gear from Mistra and Daodao (2 snipers, hauby, amemet +1 from dao, unji, bomb core, dusk gloves from mistra) and exped with Jamal, Moraine, Crosis, Giaganta and Rsouljah. These people are insane. Jamal is one of the best war's on the server, and Crosis is probably the best bard on the server and the gear to match (HQ Manteel omgz lol). We were getting absurd exp/hour until some rude JPs starting CCing us and refusing to leave, gimping our exp by a lot. I was so damn pissed, I finally got into a really good party, and these inconsiderate asswipes fuck it up. Oh well, I capped my shield, but also had to put Evasion down to 0. Wait, I don't care about Evasion =P Shield skill now 306 in HNM gear.

Did proto-omega, dropped homam feet (grats johnnyb) and head (umm I think janelly got it? Grats) and a few coins.

Major Update.

Been Slacking the passed few days. Thursday we did some misc. sky farming and killed 1 Genbu and 2 Suzaku. Grats to everyone for whatever drops you got XD I forgot.

Friday did some limbus, just a normal run, and got 4 ancient beastcoins.

Saturday we fought hydra! Exciting fight, but it all went downhill when me and soul died at the same time (on both attempts, got it to 8% first time, 5% second time), it was spamming too much TP, which ended up killing us. Here's some pictures:





Sunday I slept through dynamis - qufim =( I hear bard af2 -1 dropped, and something else.

I've made a few changes to my Paladin gear. Mostly dropping the Koenig Handschuhs and Forest Sash for Valor Gauntlets and Warwolf Belt. This gives me +6 extra enmity with only a loss of 34 HP and 10 CHR (I don't intimidate enough to really make it worth it I don't think)

Dynamis - Windurst

Just a short update here. 2x Cleric's Duckbills (Grats Alexxia and Myrril), 1x Warrior's Mask (Grats Kenjiro), and 1x Summoner's Spats (Grats Seresa). Still no Valor Leggings ; ; I really want them for kiting, and if I did get them I'd have 4/5 AF2 and look sexy :D

We probably won't do windy for a while now, oh well though.

Sea Mostly.

Farmed Sea yesterday. Killed Jailer of Temperance and got Temperance Torque (grats Kinkkerbelle), First Virtue, and Temperance Axe (grats Naotakun for having it auto-drop to you lol). Yay, full drops!

Then we popped 2 Ix'Mnks, and got 1 deed. Not a bad night in Sea, especially from what I hear about the drop rates we're insanely lucky.

Today we camped Behemoth, but Integralis got it. Just NQ. I hear they got multiple hides, bling bling XD

Apparently we do Limbus at 8pm EST on Tuesdays unlike 10pm on Fridays, so I missed out on that. I've been insanely poor lately, so I sold 3 Ancient Beastcoins for 55k each just to get some pocket change. I really need to hang onto the coins though. I want the following ancient beastcoin purchases: Brutal Earring, Boxer's Mantle, Ninja Tekko, Chainmail, and Kyahan +1, and Gallant Leggings +1. So I need 230 total Ancient Beastcoins. Wow, that sucks lol... Oh well once I get those I'll be pimped out =) I think the order I'll do them in is Brutal Earring -> Gallant Leggings +1 -> Ninja Tekko +1 -> Ninja Chainmail +1 -> Ninja Kyahan +1 -> Boxer's Mantle (I only really want this for soloing/actually tanking)

Sky farming, Dynamis... -.-

Farmed sky a bit on Saturday. Got Faust and Zip and I think that was it. Main focus was Ulli and he didn't pop until near the end of farming and we lost claim =(

Ran through Dynamis - Xarcabard. Got a Melee Crown (Grats Fliptout) before we even went to the NM stage, and the only AF2 that dropped at all on the NM stage was Wyrm Armet that went free lot again. We're going to all have these things for our mannequins soon =\ Tried to kill Dynamis Lord. Stun Rotation got fucked up again. I'm sick of this shit, how hard is it to spam the enter key, seriously... Got it to 75% before wipe.

Limbus.

Killed Omega in less than two minutes. Some drama that I didn't get to see it because my computer crashed right as we killed it. Dropped Homam Hands and Head. Dunno who got them, but grats.

Jormungand

Fought Jormungand tonight. First time hate was really messed up and we restarted only getting it to 98%. Second time we re-tried we got it to like 79%, again not too good. Then we regrouped and went for a third try. That time things went much smoother, with only 1 death (me, it was on me for the majority of the time, pld/nin is insane for hate building) until 52%. This is when things turned sour. Me and Rsouljah died within 30 seconds and Nyyankee didn't have very much hate. From there we tried to recover, but we just couldn't. We ES Slept it until it built resistance, tanks got unweakened, but nothing we did could recover us. =( Oh well this is better than the last attempt which was 73%, so I'm very proud of us. Here's the Pictures :)

EXP, Assaults, and CoP

My friend Darklion set up a party with a few other friends and 2 pickup people. When I told Rsoul to come be my exp slave he sent me this:

Sadly we had to go early because Fafnir was riding spinnaz in the Aery (was moving all around and twirling according to soul's mule and Ana) and we were hoping for a chance to get it in case of wipe. HNMPT had initial claim but they wiped because they also claimed darters. Kaizen got it from there but from what I heard JDAgralis was trying to MPK. Anyways hate was apparently really iffy but they got it under control and killed it shortly after we got there.

After that we went to try to pop Vivian but no luck so we headed out.

I pretty much didn't do anything until Assault that night. We only did one because I still had CoP to finish. 880 (I had the band) doing trolls in Lebros. 1/2 way to my chivalrous chain.

Onto CoP-land. We killed the pots from 8-4 with relative ease with the help of soul and then moved onto Promathia. We killed the first form easy enough but the second form wiped us at about 35% due to AoEs and lack of refresh. So soul came back on his rdm and we owned it so easy. Deathless fight and only took us 13 minutes. Was a fun fight but I forgot to take pictures ; ;

Today I get my Sattva Ring though, yay :D

Dynamis - ????? Tonight, hopefully Windurst and we get some Valor, that'd put me at 4/5 @.@;; But probably San d'Oria or something.

Sea..

The new HNMPT got Faf today and Kurei wasn't even there lol.. It took them almost 50 minutes to kill it, they didn't have a bard for like 30 minutes and they couldn't get it below 75% in that time. Oh well.

Sea tonight. If you don't know, sea fucking sucks. Seriously, I'd rather pull my own teeth out than farm sometimes. I seriously hate the place.

We killed the PHs for Ix'DRG and it popped after a few hours. So we rest up MP........ and it depops....

Took us a few more rounds of killing and it repopped thankfully, dropping the Deed. Now we have a full Tier 2 pop set.

Camped Fafnir today but didn't pop before we had to do Dynamis but I heard Perseverance got it.

Nidhogg Slayers!

Okay so yesterday we camped Fafnir but missed claim to Kaizen. Today however we claimed Nidhogg (Missed sky farming but who cares), it was a pretty rough fight but we killed it with no tank deaths and a few mage deaths. Me and Rsouljah were tanking on Ninja with Moriarti backing us up. Terror was a bitch as was wing, and one time I dropped to 19 HP but our mages were on top of things. We also haven't foughten a single Nidhogg or Fafnir so this is a huge accomplishment. Wednesday did some Assaults and Dynamis was cancelled.

Last night did 2 Kirins. Didn't live as long as I did last time (Kited 100% -> 19% before dying), but this time I was actually in the Alliance when it died the second time. It's been a while since I had that title.

Drops from the first were Kirin's Pole, N. Body (Grats Genjuro), and O. Ingot. Drops from second were Shining Cloth and D. Body (Grats Daodao). Dicked over on drops again, awesome.

I straight tanked him starting at 5%. I was almost sure I was going to die, I took a lot of damage very quickly but we ended up killing it. It died very fast during that last 5%. I want to eventually be able to straight tank it in installments (say 10% then kite for 5% and repeat), I think this will lower kill time significantly but it'll be harse on mage MP keeping me or other tanks alive.

Also we're going to go after Jormungand again soon. I won't say when just in case someone wants to be a prick and cockblock us, but I'll post when we try (hopefully to win) along with some pics if I can find out how to post them.

Dynamis - Xarcabard, Sea, CoP, Assaults, and Merits.

Been a busy few days. Dynamis - Xarcabard netted us a pair of Koga Tekko (Grats Achelois), a pair of Monster Gloves (Grats Kinkkerbelle), a pair of Bard's Cannions (Grats Nomar) and a Wyrm Armet (Grats whoever won the freelot). We didn't go for the DL fight but instead tried to farm. We killed a decent amount but wiped on a huge linked pull with about 5 minutes left on the clock. Crappy drops but a fun night I suppose. =(

Monday we popped Jailer of Faith and Ix'Aern(DRK). The Faith fight was our first, and very fun (though lots of EXP loss). The Ix'DRK fight took a while and was mildly fun. Both dropped the pop items though! I hear we're very lucky with our Sea drops, however we haven't gotten any torques. Grats Rigelus on Faith Baghnakhs.

Got a few more merits throughout the week putting me at 66 total merits and capping Katana skill! Time to do some uber damage.

My Static is wrapping up CoP and we did 8-2 yesterday along with getting the map of Hu'Xzoi. Norkio is having some RL problems so we're going on ahead of her. When she's ready to play again I and probably a few people from the static are going to get her her ring as she's a great red mage and shouldn't be left behind that far in.

Did one SP Mamool Ja Staging point Assault yesterday getting me 800 points and an Antivenom Earring which is on the Auction House right now and two Lebros Cavern Assaults today. I'm going to save up my SP Lebros Assault Points to get a Chivalrous chain as I think I've needed one for a while now.

Got a few more merits throughout the week putting me at 66 total merits and capping Katana skill! Time to do some uber damage.

On a more negative note, my friend and linkshell mate Rukkia is quitting the game. He'll be back though I hope :D He's getting burnt out playing the game so many hours each day, and I'm suprised I haven't done the same already. Also our Leader Anaeran is having a tough time with school so his playtime is almost non-existant. The officers are doing a good job keeping the shell alive though. We'll see how things turn out, I'm sure they'll be fine.

Merits and god farming.

Got some merits last night with Rsouljah, Arcien, Hailie, Rukkia, and Dejavu. Yeah, that's 2 Ridill wars. I was happy :D We went to the Celestial Nexus but our mages died somehow (I was personally trashed off my ass and only paying attention to the mob we were on XD) and didn't have RR up, so Blazeoffury came up which took like 30 minutes of downtime. That sucked. After we were up, we started killing again but Soul DC'd soon after. So I invited blaze to join after waiting and deciding Soul wasn't coming back and we switched to killing Aura Weapons. We still kept high chains even with only 3 DDs. In total we got 25-30k exp that night, which landed me Katana merit number 6 and a spare, which brings my total up to 61 merits :)

Earlier in the day though we did sky farming, we got a some done, didn't clean house or anything, and we missed claim on Ulli, which puts me back another week on Haidates (Looking at 2 months minimum now, I'm third in line for them ><) but ended up getting MG, SC, Faust, and I think a Despot and maybe something else, I can't really remember.

Right now I'm camping the Hocho NM with soul, trying to make some gil to upgrade ninjar but no luck so far =\ we got a light spirit pact from another NM though so it's not a complete waste.

Dynamis - Xarcabard tonight, just farming though I think, we really need to get the win one of these days, but we keep losing members (a lot have quit the game recently) and no one seems to be applying :( Hopefully some good AF2 will drop tonight.

Taking the blog's virginity.

Made a blog for my FFXI character Eulore on the Quetzalcoatl server. If you're reading this and you don't know me you're probably very bored or something.

I won't bore you with my past and how I started and such, and honestly I can't be arsed to remember.

I'm in the end-game Linkshell CelestialKnights. We are mostly Sky based, but also do pop NMs, Sea NMs, and sometimes 3 Kings. Personally I wish we would camp Kings more often, however the majority of our members aren't on at the very flexible and sometimes wild hours required to camp Kings.

I am on CoP Mission 8-3, words cannot describe how much I am impressed with the static I lead to beat these CoP missions. Neosquall, Norkio, Nichole, Uliwela, and Bedwarmer, you are all some of the most talented players on the server. We've only lost 2 BC's, the Airship fight we had Ultima (the last boss in the BC) down to 3% on our very first run (no dry runs) before we were ejected out because of the time limit. The second time we went in we beat the time record clearing it well over 10 minutes before the limit. The other BC we lost to was the Promyvion - Holla final BC, which we went in 2 hours later for our 2-hour abilities to be up and completely destroyed that too. We've never done a dry run on any BC because I don't believe in them, and didn't like the idea of losing EXP/time. Call me a hardass, but we play to win.

I'm on Zilart Mission 17. Special thanks to everyone who had helped me get sky access, with special thanks to Sethela (now retired ; ;) who helped me with the majority of the missions. Also special thanks to CK for helping me complete Divine Might and obtain my Suppanomimi.

I'm in an Assault static lead by Aeron from CK. The other members are Rsouljah, Rukkia, Wakmidget, and Thefirst. We are currently on the Superior Private Assaults, and plan to tackle the Missions eventually as well.

Recently I bought my last piece of Paladin gear I need, which was the Cassie Earring. The only other buyable piece I need besides this is the Kaiser Shield which I don't plan to buy in a very long time due to its rarity and high price (15-20 million or so, I don't even know the exact price). This was a very happy time as now all I need is rare/ex items to become my dream of the perfect Paladin, and lets me spend gil improving my Ninja. I have sold all my solo/exp party Paladin gear because with Ninja leveled I don't need it anymore.

I play Ninja differently than most other players expect. On the grind 37-75, I used heavily DD oriented gear, whereas most Ninjas use mass amounts of evasion. It took a lot more concentration counting shadows and timing the casting, but it was worth it. Most people think that Ninjas need these high amounts of evasion to not get hit, and this is simply not true. With haste and my high parry skill that I had from Paladin, I rarely got hit because I counted my shadows like any good Ninja should. I had trouble holding hate in less than 10 parties the entire grind, and hated partying with Thieves as I felt the extra hate was not needed, and in most cases it wasn't. Needless to say, many people were impressed, and hopefully I changed the way Ninja is viewed to multiple people. Now at 75 people do consider Ninja an excellent DD (one of the top 3), and I continue to strive to be the best with my equipment and merits. I still have a long way to go though, but hopefully one day I will get there.

My Ninja does have an HNM gear set, however it's no where near the best, and mostly something I threw together with less than 1 million in case I couldn't tank anything on my Paladin. So far the only Higher level NMs I've tanked are Ancient Goobue (Trioed with me Kiting), Feeler Antlion (Rostrum Pumps NM), and Suzaku (Sky god). Each time I think I did exceptionally well. That being said, I perfer PLD/NIN on wyrms (Fought Jormungand a few times) compared to NIN/WAR because I have the ability to heal myself and the other tanks, cover them to regain MP thanks to Valor Surcoat, and still take little to no damage while they're on the ground. I don't have DRK subjob for Ninja leveled yet, because I hate leveling it, but hopefully will get that done someday.
